CareConnect: Streamlined Hospital Appointment System

In today’s world, the healthcare sector is very crucial, the appointment systems for the hospitals are very
helpful to patients and hospital providers like admins and doctors. The hospital appointment system
needs to be secure, scalable and efficient and integrate with appointment scheduling for patients, and
insurance details availability for claiming the insurance for patients. Most of the hospitals still follow
the Traditional process for booking appointments like waiting in queues or making calls to know about
the doctor's availability with the receptionist which leads to dissatisfaction for both patients and hospital
management. This paper presents CareConnect: Streamlined Hospital Appointment System, using Java
full-stack, JSPs, and Servlets and a SpringBoot-based solution that streamlines appointment scheduling
and knowing the details of insurance availability based on age. This system has been built using
Spring Boot for the backend and a robust MySQL database architecture. the system enhances hospital
workflows, reduces administrative overhead, and improves patient experience. Performance evaluations
demonstrate significant efficiency gains in appointment scheduling, positioning CareConnect as an
innovative step towards modernised healthcare management.
